Barrow Blueway Blooms in Spring

Plant foraging on a beautiful sunny spring morning by the canal, with plenty of mud and puddles but I was well prepared with wellies and a raincoat. Easy to forget Covid-19 as the plants got on with growing regardless. There could be no visit to any venue in Monasterevin this time. Instead, I brought the plants home and painted them in my studio.

The project was commissioned by Monasterevin Tidy Towns and partly funded by Kildare County council. The video was created by Nuala Madigan, Environmental education officer with the Irish Peatland Conservation Council.
